Let us start by saying, thank you for browsing and shopping with us today. We are flattered that you have taken the time to get to know us better. Jewellery is so personal. It lives on you. An extension and expression of the wearer. We thought, before you make your own memories and stories with it, we'd tell you ours. The hows, whys and whens of anvaaya.

Without further ado, let us introduce ourselves. The "we" here is Kanan & Karishma, anvaaya's co-founders and friends. As far as personalities go, we are polar opposites - Karishma is an easy-going Bombay-ite, Kanan is a type-A Londoner. But the few things we do have in common are the big ones. Over the last decade, we graduated from the same universities in Mumbai (undergrad) and London (postgrad), worked at the same firm at the same time, and despite changing jobs, cities, marriages and moves, made the effort to stay a part of each other’s lives. 

When we first decided to connect our love for jewellery and passion for business into creating our own fine jewellery brand, we knew we had to choose a brand name that embodied our journey and inspiration. As you can tell, we chose anvaaya, which means connection. On a personal level, it is two friends connecting to create, and on a design level, it is two launch collections inspired by connecting Indian art-forms and culture to modern designs that tell a story. anvaaya's jewellery is made using Sterling Silver. All raw materials used in making our jewellery is sourced from within India. Each piece is made by gifted Indian artisans in Jaipur, Rajasthan. anvaaya's packaging is exclusively made to order and manufactured in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The website you're reading this on has been customised by a very talented website team based in Mumbai. Every artisan, artist, supplier, and professional connected to anvaaya's launch is proudly Indian.
