Green Onyx is deep emerald green in colour and is highly reflective and translucent. It is a supportive and protective stone. Historically it has been used for its protective qualilites and to impart courage to its wearer. People in India believed that wearing onyx protected them from the evil eye. It is the birthstone for people born in the month of May.
